Council programs and tasks require participation of all. An excellent way to get more involved in our organization is through its various committees, and we welcome your assistance and participation. There are many tasks to assure Council programs are carried out in a professional manner. We've listed and described some of our committees below.
Annual Conference - Plans, develops, and implements informative, educational program for day-long annual conference. Responsible for providing information on programs and speakers, securing meeting facility and assuring travel, lodging and hospitality for speakers.
Communications - Develops and implements the communications program, including editing and producing monthly meeting notices, placing announcements of monthly meetings and other programs on planned giving websites and developing content for the Council website, and other efforts to publicize the Council and its activities in the community.
Legacy Awards - This committee implements the Saint Louis Legacy Awards.
Legal Developments - Monitors state legislation and regulations relating to planned giving, as well as federal regulations. Responsible for communicating this information to Council members and coordinating efforts with those of CGP. Responsible for serving as advocate for Council and charitable activities.
Membership - Responsible for efforts to recruit new members, welcoming and orienting new members, assisting with membership renewal and retention efforts.
Programs - Plans, develops and implements informative, educational programs for monthly programs. Responsible for providing information on program and speaker, and assuring travel, lodging and hospitality for speakers.
Resource Development - Secure funds by marketing sponsorships. These funds underwrite Council programs, especially costs for out-of-town speakers for some monthly programs and speakers and promotional costs for the annual conference and the Saint Louis Legacy Awards.
