Morning Session: Basic Estate Planning & Wealth Transfer
Registration & Networking: 9:45 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Program: 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

There are many myths and misconceptions surrounding the concept of transferring wealth upon death. Christine specializes in assessing the goals of her clients and developing and implementing personalized legal strategies to ensure that her clients’ intentions and wishes are followed. It is important, in this area of the law, to reject a one-form-fits-all mentality. Christine’s decades of experience guide her in crafting each of her clients’ estate plans so that they meet the needs and goals of each individual client.

This session has been approved for 1.5 CLE credit hours from The Missouri Bar, and 1.25 CFRE Continuing Education Points.

Lunch Session: The Third-Party Special Needs Trust
Registration & Networking: 11:30 a.m. – 11:45 a.m.
Lunch & Program: 11:45 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.

Christine will review the importance of planning for family members and clients who have special needs, as well as the legal tools that are available to implement special needs planning. Special needs planning is designed to protect the individual who has special needs through the safeguarding of public benefits eligibility. This type of planning is complex and misused applications of the law can have detrimental effects on the individual who has special needs and his/her eligibility for public benefits.

This session has been approved for 1.5 CLE credit hours from The Missouri Bar, and 1.25 CFRE Continuing Education Points.
